Psychodynamic Therapy, online and in Vaughan

I offer psychodynamic therapy, a deeper approach that helps you understand and shift long-standing patterns in relationships, work, and self-esteem. That means we pay attention to your history, your relationships, and how it feels to sit together every week.

I am a Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist who is warm, curious, and direct in a kind way. I’m interested in how you came to be the way you are — not to blame you or your past, but to give you more choice in the present.

You don’t need the perfect words. You can come in overwhelmed, numb, conflicted, funny, or unsure. We’ll figure it out together, at a pace that respects you.

Psychoanalytic Therapy
Explores the unconscious patterns and early experiences shaping your life today. Together, we uncover hidden meanings and deepen self-understanding.

Brainspotting
Uses eye position to access where trauma is held in the brain and body. It helps process deep emotional pain safely and effectively.

Outline of a person's profile with a scribbled circle representing a tangled or cluttered mind over the head.

Cognitive Processing Therapy
Helps untangle painful thoughts and beliefs from past experiences. We make sense of what happened so you can move forward with clarity.

Somatic Therapy
Connects mind and body to release stored tension and emotional pain. You’ll learn to notice and trust your body’s wisdom.

The Process

What psychoanalytic therapy with me tends to look like.

Therapy is not a straight line, but there are themes many people move through. Think of it as a night walk with a lantern — we don’t rush, we stay with what shows up.

Exploration

We start with what’s happening now: symptoms, relationships, work, parenting, calls you can’t shake. No need to be tidy or chronological.

Identifying patterns

Together we notice how you tend to think, feel, and relate — where you over-function, shut down, avoid, or repeat the same dynamics.

Insight & gaining awareness

As we understand the “why” behind your reactions, you begin to catch them in real time. Things that used to feel automatic become more visible and workable.

Developing strategies

From that deeper awareness, we experiment with new internal responses and external boundaries that actually fit who you are and the life you live in Vaughan or elsewhere in Ontario.

Applying, integrating & growth

Over time, change feels less like “trying really hard” and more built-in. You’re not a different person, but a more grounded, spacious version of yourself.

Who I’m Here For

If you live in Vaughan, York Region, or elsewhere in Ontario and any of this sounds like you, we’ll likely work well together.

First Responders

Police, fire, EMS, and dispatch

We track your baseline for when you’re “good enough,” then use psychoanalytic and trauma-informed work when calls or events start to pile up. You don’t have to wait until you’re falling apart to get support.

Healthcare and Education

Professionals who carry a lot

Physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, dentists, professors, teachers, and student services staff who are chronically “on.” We explore the toll of caring, the politics of your workplace, and the part of you that wants to step off the treadmill.

Menopausal & Perimenopausal women

Hormones, identity, and invisible labour

You’re holding a lot — aging parents, kids, work, symptoms — while wondering where your own desire and energy went. We make room for grief, rage, humour, and new versions of you.

Mothers in the thick of it

Parents who have lost themselves a bit

You’re the reliable one at home and at work, but you’re tired and resentful. Together we look at how you learned to over-function, and what it might mean to let yourself need things too..

Men who feel stuck

“Fine” on paper, not so fine inside

You might be successful, partnered, parenting, or all of the above — and still feel shut down, angry, or lonely. We make space for feelings you were never taught to have, let alone express.

Creatives and comedians

People who turn life into bits

You use humour, art, or performance to connect and to protect. We get curious about the stories behind the jokes, without asking you to stop being funny or creative.
